Joram Roukes: Colossal Errors & Major Mistakes

From the Artist: "Colossal Errors & Major Mistakes" relates to flaws in both the aesthetics of the paintings and flaws in society. Felipe Pantone: W3-DIMENSIONAL

“W3-DIMENSIONAL” takes inspiration from Teilhard de Chardin's 1950's theories, which postulated the existence of "an enveloping sphere of thought, a living tissue of consciousness, enclosing the Earth and growing ever more dense." This controversial idea, known as the "Noosphere," was largely forgotten until the advent of cyberspace. The Internet, in its ever-growing exponential race of speed, pervasiveness, capacity, intelligence and durability, may well become the mechanical framework for the Noosphere, this sphere of thought, that may bring about the evolution of human consciousness.

Hueman: Just One Moment

Mirus Gallery is pleased to announce our upcoming solo exhibition "Just One Moment" by Hueman, featuring over 15 new paintings on canvas and wood. Distinct in her use of bold color and free flowing texture, Hueman compares and contrasts conflicting ideologies to create masterful works that are at once balanced and unsettling. Her latest work featured in this exhibition is a look into a singular moment in time, spliced, dissected, and manipulated through intersecting lines and planes; juxtaposing images that are simultaneously beautiful and grotesque, abstract and figurative, geometric and organic.

Alexandra Levasseur: Body of Land

"Body of Land" presents female figures that melt into their environment; the woman is a heroine, protector of nature. The use of different textures merging with one another is a reminder that living things and their environment are made up of the same chemical elements. With this series, the goal is the same: to illustrate the ideal relationship between humans and nature, as if it was a whole.

Jaime Brett Treadwell: Trick Magic

In "Trick Magic," Treadwell employs visual deceptions within the work to encourage recognizable commonalities between painting and magic.
